Geography Field Trip

On Monday 24th, Wednesday 26th and Friday 28th June, Year 10 geographers enjoyed three days out of school on their fieldwork trip to Southport and Ainsdale.

YEAR 10 GEOGRAPHY FIELDWORK TRIPS

The trip enabled pupils to collect data which will go towards their final GCSE grade.

The aim of the day was to allow pupils first hand experience of data collection. We spent a couple of hours in Southport where the students spent time investigating whether or not Southport has benefited from government investment and if this has attracted more people to the town. We then spent the same amount of time studying the sand dunes at Ainsdale, measuring the changes to the dune.

The students fully enjoyed the day and were well behaved.
