The Performing Arts and ADT (Art, Design, and Technology) Departments recently embarked on an exciting journey to New York City, accompanied by enthusiastic Year 12 and 13 students. This educational trip offered students a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich artistic and cultural landscape of one of the world’s most vibrant cities.
As Easter unfolded, the Performing Arts and ADT Departments embarked on a journey to New York City, accompanied by eager Year 12 and 13 students. Amidst the bustling streets, they found themselves face to face with the iconic Bull of Wall Street, a symbol of financial might and resilience.
In a scene straight out of a postcard, Music teacher Mr. Kennett and his talented protege, Year 13 student Shaun M, seized the moment within the breathtaking Oculus World Trade Centre. Their harmonious melodies echoed through the grandeur of the architectural marvel, serenading Friday New Yorkers and leaving an indelible mark on the city.
As twilight descended, RH6 students were drawn into the electrifying embrace of Times Square, where the luminous spectacle of lights danced in sync with their excitement. In the heart of the city that never sleeps, they immersed themselves in the vibrant energy, forging memories that would last a lifetime.
Amidst the urban sprawl, a tranquil oasis awaited the weary travelers. Bathesda Terrace, nestled within the verdant expanse of Central Park, greeted the RH6 students with open arms. Under the gentle caress of spring sunshine, they reveled in the serene beauty, finding solace amidst the bustling metropolis.
In the tapestry of their New York adventure, each moment painted a vivid stroke, weaving together the essence of exploration, creativity, and camaraderie. As they bid farewell to the city that had captured their hearts, they carried with them not just souvenirs, but cherished memories of a journey filled with wonder and discovery. #NYC2024
