PRIDE MONTH 2023

LGBT Pride Month in June celebrates and commemorates LGBTQ+ pride. It originated after the Stonewall riots in 1969, a turning point for LGBTQ+ rights. Pride Month is celebrated internationally and includes parades, events, and education. It serves to celebrate, remember struggles, raise awareness, advocate for rights, and address ongoing challenges. Discrimination and lack of protections persist, emphasising the need for continued progress towards equality and acceptance.
