Rainhill High School Dancers shine at Disney
Pupils from Rainhill High School have enjoyed an unforgettable experience performing at Disney as part of a trip organised by The Jeanette McCulloch School of Dance. Several of our pupils joined the dance school for this exciting opportunity.
Pupils from Years 7 to 11 took part, alongside several former Rainhill High pupils. The trip provided an amazing platform for our dancers to showcase their skills, dedication and passion for performing arts on an international stage. The team achieved outstanding success at the IFDPA competition, bringing home an impressive 14 placings: six first places, six second places and two third places. This is a fantastic achievement and a testament to the hard work, commitment and talent of everyone involved. Pupils also participated in the parade and performed in a spectacular showcase within the Disney park itself. These were incredible opportunities for our dancers to perform in front of international audiences and create memories that will last a lifetime.
We are particularly proud of the strong links between our current and former pupils. Much of the choreography was created by past Rainhill High School pupils, including Ceri Taylor, Erin Taylor, Suzanne Jones and Natalie Bamford. Their continued involvement highlights the lasting impact of our performing arts community and the importance of inspiring the next generation of dancers. A huge well done to all the pupils who took part.
We would like to thank The Jeanette McCulloch School of Dance for providing our pupils with this fantastic opportunity and for supporting their development as performers.
Well done to everyone involved.
Mrs Haselden, Teacher of Performing Arts.
