MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT
Supporting Positive Mental Health
At Rainhill High School, we recognise that mental health is an important part of a young person's overall wellbeing.
We want every pupil to feel safe, valued and supported, and to know where they can turn if they are worried, overwhelmed or struggling.
Our approach combines everyday pastoral support, opportunities to talk, targeted help where needed and access to specialist or external support.
You are not alone, and your wellbeing matters.
How We Support Mental Health
We provide a range of in-school support to help pupils manage stress, anxiety and other mental health concerns.

Looking After Your Mental Wellbeing
Alongside school-based support, we encourage pupils to develop positive habits that can support their emotional wellbeing.
Talk to someone you trust about how you are feeling.
Maintain a healthy balance between schoolwork, rest and social activities.
Use positive self-care techniques such as mindfulness and relaxation.
Regular exercise and fresh air can support mood and concentration.
Getting Help
You Do Not Have to Manage Difficult Feelings Alone
If you are struggling with your mental health, please speak to someone.
Your Form Tutor, Year Student Manager or any trusted member of staff can help you find the right support.
Tell Someone
Speak to an adult you trust and explain how you are feeling.
We Will Listen
You do not need to know exactly what support you need before asking for help.
Find the Right Support
We will help identify the most appropriate next step.
You Are Not Alone, and Your Wellbeing Matters.
There are people in school and beyond school who can listen, support you and help you work through difficulties.
