Rainhill Sixth Celebrates
Rainhill Sixth Form Celebrates Outstanding A-Level and Applied General Results Rainhill Sixth Form and its partner, Liverpool FC Women, are celebrating another successful year of A Level and Applied General results, with students securing impressive outcomes across a broad range of subjects.
At A-level 97.6% of entries achieved a pass grade (A*-E), with particularly strong performance in fine art, biology, chemistry, English literature, geography, history and sociology. Students studying Applied General qualifications also celebrated excellent outcomes, with 100% achieving a Merit grade or above in dance, sport and physical activity, IT and sports and exercise science.
These results build on Rainhill Sixth Form’s strong track record of academic achievement and reflect the dedication of students, staff, parents and carers. Small class sizes, personalised support and an enriched super-curriculum continue to help students achieve their ambitions and progress to a wide range of destinations.
Students receiving special recognition include:
- Gracie Phillips (A*, A*, B) studying English and History at Queens College, University of Oxford
- Arsh Sharma (A, Dis, Dis*) going into employment
- Emily Pickles (B, B, C) studying Geology at University of Keele
- James Burquest (Distinction*, Distinction*, Distinction) studying Sports Business at Liverpool John Moores University
Headteacher Josie Thorogood said “All of our students have done exceptionally well, and I could not be more delighted. We are immensely proud of each individual accomplishment and of the determination shown by our Class of 2026. These results reflect the hard work of our students and the dedication of our staff, parents and carers.”
