GIRLS AND BOYS INTER ATHLETICS

Today our Inter Girls and Inter Boys athletics teams competed in the NW B finals… Official results still to come but all pupils were fantastic, especially in this heat, however special mention to the following athletes… In the hurdles Reid M clocks and impressive 12.78 to take the Year 9 record, Again in the hurdles, Nathan W goes 12.72 to set not only a Year 10 record but the school record. Fantastic run. Another great performance by Heather G as she breaks not only her Yr record but a school record in the 300m. An amazing 44.2s was one of the runs of the day. More school records tumble… This time Megan N adds the 200m school record to the Long Jump year record she chalked up last meet. A brilliant 27.9s run. And today we saw the fall of one of our oldest records…. Liam J in Year 10 knocked off the 1500m school record that has stood since 1991. A time of 4:21.20 is an unbelievable effort. Let’s see if this one stands for 32 years!!! #rainhillathletics
