In a powerful show of solidarity and support, Mr. Giles took center stage during R Fest to participate in the national “Brave the Shave” campaign, raising vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

With students and staff cheering him on, Mr. Giles had his head shaved in front of a lively crowd, demonstrating his commitment to the cause and helping raise awareness for those affected by cancer. The event was not only a highlight of the festival but also a poignant reminder of the importance of community and compassion.

Macmillan Cancer Support provides essential services to people living with cancer and their families. All donations from Mr. Giles’ fundraising efforts will go directly toward helping the charity continue its invaluable work.

Thanks to the generous contributions from students, staff, and the wider community, Mr. Giles has already raised £1218 of an original plea for £250, with donations still coming in.
