Rainhill High School students enjoyed an unforgettable trip to Folgaria, a picturesque ski resort in Trentino, northern Italy. Known for its welcoming atmosphere and stunning alpine scenery.
Known for its welcoming atmosphere and stunning alpine scenery, Folgaria sat at 1,169 metres and formed part of the Skitour dei Forti ski area.
The resort boasted 50 well-maintained trails, served by modern lifts, including detachable quad chairlifts for swift access. Rainhill students of all abilities made the most of the slopes, with gentle blue runs perfect for beginners, exciting red runs in the Costa sector for intermediates, and the challenging black “Avez del Prinzipe” run in Lavarone for the more advanced.Snowboarders and freestyle skiers had fun in the resort’s snowparks. “Mazinga Park” in Fondo Piccolo was ideal for beginners and intermediates, while “Prinze Park” in Lavarone offered jumps and features for all levels.Beyond skiing, students enjoyed activities such as cross-country skiing, ice skating, snowshoeing, and tobogganing. With its mix of thrilling slopes and relaxed alpine charm, Folgaria proved to be the perfect setting for an exciting and memorable school trip.
