PE Key Stage 3

At Key Stage 3 we focus on participation, breadth of study and most importantly enjoyment. At Key Stage 3 we start building the block for lifelong participation by promoting the social, mental and physical benefits of exercise and by exposing our pupils to a wide range of physical disciplines. Pupils will follow a carousel of activaties that will take them through a variety of games sport, a full athletics programme, gymnastics activities and outdoor and adventurous pursuits. The intorudction of key theory elements will start at Key Stage 3 allowing pupils to understand the world of sport and exercise in greater depth. These will centre around the musculoskeletal system, warm-up and cool down, components of fitness and fitness testing, training methods and characteristics of skill.
